Dr. Shaleen Das is an internationally recognized human rights educator, youth empowerment advocate, and human resource management professional with extensive experience in academia and international corporate sector organizations. She is currently an ambassador for Youth for Human Rights International, Washington DC, and as national director of India and human rights watchdogs in Florida, actively promoting human rights education on a global platform based in Kolkata, India.


Shaleen began her journey in social work at a young age, inspired by early exposure to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Over the years, she has become a powerful voice in human rights awareness, gender justice, and anti-trafficking initiatives. Her work addresses critical societal issues, including domestic violence, legal literacy, dignity for marginalized communities, sustainability, AI, awareness, and inclusive development.

Dr. Das is a guest lecturer and lecturer at nearly 20 colleges and four universities across India, including institutions in Kolkata, Delhi, and internationally at 2 universities in Qatar, USA, Russia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and more. He teaches at Saint Xavier's College and Saint Xavier University, including the Faculty of Law, integrating human rights education in disciplines such as law, management, aviation, human resource management, ethics and soft skills development.


Shaleen is a firm believer that education must evolve with global realities just as dancers introduced and promoted subjects in India that are often missing from traditional curricula, ensuring that Indian views have access to global knowledge and opportunities; and argues that the mission in India is to make human race education, soft skills, sustainability, artificial literacy, and gender justice essential components of mainstream education.

Dr. Das has also delivered hundreds of seminars, workshops, and webinars both nationally and internationally, and has distributed thousands of lists of educational books to spread the word about human dignity. During the COVID-19 lockdown, it continued its outreach work through impactful digital programs that ensured uninterrupted learning and engagement.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Baklavas received the 2020 Human Rights Champion Award from Youth for Human Rights International.


She obtained her doctorate and youth empowerment in the United States on December 2, 2023 and has trained and mentored young Indian, Nigerian, Latin American, and other international communities.

Academically, she studied human resource management in Qatar and is a certified trainer in hotel etiquette and professional hairdressing, specializing in training future airline cabin crew. She is also a sought-after speaker on human rights, gender justice, and inclusive legal awareness.

Dr. Sharleen Das envisions a world where human dignity, equality, and justice are global realities and not privileges. Her lifelong mission is to empower young people, uplift communities, and transform education into human rights and meaningful action, especially for India, while continuing to impact the world.
